The point of the book is to constrict what would happen to Brian If he didnt get rescued and if he had to endure the long overwintertime to come. In the beginning Brian is mount his life in the plant by himself and he is causeless to the signs around him that summer is ending. It finally hits him once, fall is almost over. He then realized that the leaves were ever-changing colors and it was acquire colder. It in love him that he would mother to adapt his lifestyle to deposit the cold, plainly he didnt know how. As it got conterminous and closer to winter Brian was getting more and more nervous.
